Wednesday is not a huge “getting major projects accomplished” day for me. My 2 1/2 yr old son doesn’t go to day care or have a sitter that day. I try to get us out of the house to do at least one fun thing that day, and as far as work goes, I’m lucky to get some email/ social networking stuff done if he takes a long nap.
Since I know it won’t be a nose-to the grindstone, checking things off a list sort of day, it’s a perfect day to have a little fun with a visualization exercise. In my day to day rush to get the biggest possible chunk of work done, sometimes the longer term goals and dreams can get neglected. Today I decided to take a few minutes to focus on a dream my husband and I have had for several years. We are absolutely obsessed with the idea of building a container house. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, the container is a shipping container or more typically a combination of several shipping containers that create modular and very modern home.
I collected just a few examples to show the variations of this kind of house. I especially love the shots of the interior of the “Six Oaks” home. The windows and the layout work so harmoniously with the surrounding nature to incorporate the outdoor beauty with the indoor space. Love!
